Case Study

This image was used for one of my assignments, where we had to make a website of our choosing, using a template. I decided to do my theme on cosplaying, as I have a plethora of costumes and cosplays that were just begging to be used again.

One of my favourite cosplays is my Monika cosplay, from Doki Doki Literature Club. I wanted to pose exactly like her infamous Act III image, where she's just staring at the player.

I also wanted to recreate the tone of the image. Aka, isolated, alone, horrific. Using Photoshop's adjustment layers, I felt around with colour balance, lighting, and a few others to set the tone exactly how I wanted it.

Getting feedback from others, I definitely nailed the tone which made me proud of it. I've been constantly reusing this image whenever I've seen fit as well, like when I used it for a future assignment involving me and Monika.
