The Haunted Halls of Garreg MachDescription:
A fic written for EmblemCon's Halloween event!
This fic was written for EmblemCon's Halloween Event, which was hosted in 2020. The idea was to have a few writers participate and then have their fics read on stream, as if you were telling spooky stories inside of a haunted house!
We had the complete freedom to write whatever we wanted, as long as it was based on Fire Emblem. It didn't take long for me to think of an idea, of the Garreg Mach Monastery from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, being haunted. But I had to answer a few questions, such as "Why is it haunted?" and "Who is it haunted by?" Fire Emblem is no stranger to its ghost stories, but usually those have a bit of lore attached, so I needed to think of something. Thus, I thought of taking some game events, and tie them in with this fic idea and voila!
The biggest problem with this idea was that, well, the organizers didn't relay a word limit to us, so we were free to write as much as we want. While the freedom is definitely well appreciated, it pose as a challenge to fit everyone's stories within an 1 hr panel, which unfortunately didn't seem to work out. My story was only partially read and had to be left for the viewers to read on their own.
The experience, though, was a huge confidence booster, however, as this is by far the best piece I have ever written in my opinion. I spend days on this fic, ensuring that the details were just right, in terms of characterization, event sequence, and even ending. Everything came together very fluidly, and I even snuck in a little bonus scene for the fun of it. "Monastery's haunted."

The title and summary of the fic, to give the reader a small taste of what to expect and help intrigue them as well.
A little taste of the start of the horror that the students begin to face.
One of my favourite scenes that I wrote, where one of my favourite characters confronts the spirit of his deceased father, and getting closure in the process.
